Koosun Solo Farm Post Aug 17th Nerf Me/Mo Or Mo/Me
Well this is my first attempt at a guide so I hope it is of use to some.
Basically Koosun before the nerf was extremely easy to farm, was as simple as sitting behind the wall and nuking or degening to death, but since the nerf farming Koosun became alot more difficult. So I decided I still wanted to farm the staff as thats how I get all my gold, And I managed to come up with a working build.
Estimated time: 8-12 min. (depending on spawn)
Attributes: (based on mo/me as thats all I have at end of game)
Illusion Magic: 12
Inspiration Magic: 10
Protection Prayers: 7
Divine Favor: 4
Skill Bar: (note alot of the pics have different skill bars due to me testing which one I thought worked best I still used the old pics)
Migrane {Elite}
Conjure Phantasm
Images of Remorse
Drain Enchantment
Power Drain
Protective Spirit
Mend Ailment
Illusion of Haste
The Run:
The run is fairly simple once you get it down here is a map of the run
ok start out at Imperial Sanctum and just follow the pic its pretty simple until you get here
Basically the patrol I circled patrols out of range so just hold down ctrl once they disapear out of range run down to where they were, just be carefull not to agro the group that is right there in front of you. Once you get there the same patrol walks down the hall slowly just stay out of agro range and wait for them to go all the way up and then they turn right and go down a corridor to the side. Basically I just stay behind them and when it opens up after the hallway I hug the left wall then run strait by and up the ramp to the rez point once they branch off to the right.
At the rez point turn left and you come upon the first teleporter and the warrior boss (I forget the name)
Here start watching your agro bubble, you don't want to get to close to the boss or else guys teleport in and its hard to get through. One thing I noticed with this boss is it seems you can't even get to where your right outside agro or it agros him so keep back a little.
When your ready to go through kinda look at the group behind the warrior boss to see what you have to run through. Sometimes its and easy spawn with them all down to the right, other times there right behind the door and you have to go through the boss and them. Just throw on prot spirit then illusion of haste and run through your destination being one of 2 places
Or
Depending on which wall koosun is closer too, usually I just run to the first location and then run back around to the other if needed.
Ok the reason there are 2 places is when you are killing koosun you never actually go into the agro bubble or else you have to deal with the spawn that teleports in (sometimes have to anyways if koosun is in middle) so you want to get to the side that he is by that wall and that way you can sit right outside the agro bubble and cast on him like so
Note on the compass how koosun is right outside of the agro bubble, when koosun is by one of the walls you can easily get into position like above and just degen him to death using drain enchantment for energy.
A few things while killing koosun.
1. He runs back and forth like mad, try not to cast when he moves to far out of your agro bubble to where you would have to run to cast on him, wait till he runs back to where he started and cast, this happens alot as he doesn't run far usually.
2. Sometimes he will run all the way out of the door and start running at you, pretty much all you have to do here is take a couple steps back and he will turn around and run back in, then step back up and resume casting.
3. Sometimes you can't help but get in range to where a mob teleports in, what you have to do in that situation if you want to kill him still is kill the monk, this is where power drain comes in.
The monk is not very hard to kill, just aproach it the same way as koosun as far as agro bubble, cause its anoying having 2 rangers and an assassin run at you every cast, so just stay out of the agro bubble and cast. You have to always have migrane on the monk because he has spell breaker and spell shield making him very anoying to kill if done wrong. Just cycle the degen spells and only drain off spell shield, to do this you have to cast drain the instand spell shield finishes casting for him. Then only use power drain on spell breaker cancel castin other spells to interupt spell breaker if needed and you will have free casting till he is dead, Then continue on and kill koosun.
One last thing is when I am killing koosun right before he dies from the degen I like to run up into his agro bubble and cast conjure phantasm, because everytime I just sit out of agro bubble and he dies he doesn't seem to leave a drop, but when I run in right at then end, even when I don't manage to get a cast off he drops something for me. Just if you got it to where you didn't have to kill the monk, run in RIGHT before he dies or the monk will heal him.
Good luck getting a staff
Please leave any comments or questions on the forums
I would rather not be pmed in game as 90% of the time I am doing GvG or HA and can't stop to type.

It wasn't really a nerf (wrong term used), they made raisu palace harder, meaning its harder to get to him now. The warrior boss used to bugged, now he'll actually attack you, along with his spawns.

hint: read the title of the thread
Baka: GG on the farm run. Before the nerf (or whatever you want to call it), I was running this guy with regularity with a blood degen necro and using the Kuuna skill. I was thinking my Koosun farming days were over. Think he can be killed without PS?

You can definitely do this without prot spirit, just look at the screen shot where I actually got the staff , I didn't really explain when I used prot spirit and mend ailment.
I use prot spirit to run through the warrior boss and the mob right after, it isn't needed but I found alot of times when I didn't take it against bad spawns I would get all the way through just to have a last second obsidian flame kill me. Also this is where I use mend ailment because when you come out the other side of these 2 mobs you are usually poisened and have faintheartedness on, so I quickly mend off poison so I don't degen to death, and just make sure to recast illusion of haste so you don't mend cripple instead.
The only other problem I see doing this with blood degen is with bad spawns you won't be able to kill koosun without the group teleporting in, and then you have to deal with a monk with spell breaker and spell shield.
It may be possible though with rend enchantments, and then just having long enough degen spells so spell breaker doesn't matter. Give it a shot and let me know.

I ran Koosun with the blood degen build at least 100 times, but the kuuna skill was usually necessary -- that big flesh golem thingy gave energy whenever it hit, and I'd turn those into vamp gaze spams. Popping the flesh golem thingy (kuuna spell) would pop Koosun's pops, and that wouldn't be good.
Running as n/r with storm chaser would cancel out the ps and mend ailment, and it looks like Illusion of Haste could replace that, though storm chaser lasts a lot longer. I know there were some skills I used from farming Skill Eater as n/me on the mes side that would steal mana and maybe hurt him in other ways (with blood degen being main damage skills), but the key to that is NOT getting his pops to pop.
I just remember running him a couple times after the nerf, and while I got him away from where his pops would pop, he threw down some NASTY spells that rocked me, whereas before the nerf he couldn't cast anything other than enchants on himself.

The guy is too lazy to read Wiki, expects us to post helping him (which takes a roughly equal amount of time)... and you are ACTUALLY HELPING him?

What bothers me more than a person to lazy to search for information is a person spreading misinformation on these forums. Other people besides the lazy person read this forum too.

Imagine that you are sitting at a bus terminal waiting. Next to you is a stranger. On a table in the middle of the room, and at a point equidistant from either of you, there is for some reason a remote which controls an oppossing television.
He asks you to get the remote from the table, and turn the Weather channel on, so that he can check the forecast for 35 miles NorthWest of Rapa Nui. Now, he seems in every manner physically capable of picking up the remote (you saw him walk in, he appears to be in no discomfort, or suffering from mobility limitations).
Now, knowing that the weather off the coast of Rapa Nui is almost certainly not important, and if it is he is capable in every way of turning the TV on himself... what do you do? Tell him to go screw off, tell him its "dry this time of year", or get the remote and give it to him?
Id like to think that by telling a harmless lie I got his attention (after he cleared Ice Floe, that is) and conveyed rather poignantly that in the interest of mutual self benefit everyone has to be willing to suck it up and look up things they want to know themselves (not at all a tedious task with GuildWiki working).
Do you have any idea how many posts I would have if every time I wanted to know something that wiki could've told me, I posted here asking for it instead of looking it up?
